What a great week we had learning all about Israel! We loved celebrating Israel Day and enjoying everything blue and white.

We made Israeli flags, visited a falafel stand, and decorated delicious blue and white cookies.

We also listened to Israeli music and learned about all the wonderful places we could visit in Israel. Thank you to all our parent volunteers who helped run our Israel Day booths, where the children got to visit cities across Israel and do activities such as spice blending, salty hand prints, fruit stamping, jewelry making, and more.

As part of our art exploration, we created Israeli flag-inspired artwork inspired by Otto Freundlich.

Our letter of the week was Y, and we had fun stringing yarn into the shape of the letter Y. We also reviewed all of our Hebrew letters.

For a fine motor activity, we used chopsticks to remove rubber bands from our water table—it was both challenging and fun!

This week, we also used blue bubble paint to create beautiful hydrangea flowers and combined vinegar, baking soda, and soap to make fizzy springtime blossoms.

As always, we ended our week with some of our favorite activities: Playball with Coach Anthony, baking challah, and our school-wide Shabbos Party.
