From Matzah to the Sea

We’ve been having a fun week, enjoying all things Pesach!

We used Lego boards to paint and create paper matzah, took out our play ovens to bake matzah in our matzah bakery, and loved singing songs all about matzah.

We know Pesach is in the spring, so we created beautiful, spring-inspired art influenced by the artist Shari Pedowitz.

We enjoyed squishing kinetic sand in our “Splitting of the Sea” sensory bins.

In science, we made hailstorms in a jar to learn more about the plague of hail, which was like fire and ice.

We used apples, nuts, and grape juice to make charoset, reminding us of the mortar used in Egypt for building, which we place on our Seder plates.

We also practiced our fine motor skills by using chopsticks to pick rubber bands out of water.

Our letters this week were S and Kuf. We drew snakes in the sand and dipped our karpas in salt water.

We had a blast with Music and Yoga this week, and we always love ending our week with challah baking and our Shabbat party!

We’re looking forward to seeing you next week as we celebrate our Pesach Model Seders!
