Let There Be Light
This week we came back to school after Sukkot break, and it was so nice to see everyone! We caught up on what everyone did over the break.

In Judaics, we learned all about creation, how G-d created the world in six days and rested on the seventh. For Day One, we learned how G-d created light and dark, and we used white materials to fill in a number one over a black sheet to mark the beginning of creation.
We also made black and white art to represent day and night.
For Day Two, when G-d created the water and the sky, we explored the color blue with rice and bead sensory bins, and we went outside and sprayed our clouds with blue water to make them rain.
For Day Three, when G-d created plants and trees, we painted with beets, carrots, and parsley. We tasted kiwis, oranges, and apples, observing their colors, seeds, and peels, and we left them out to watch how they dry.
We also picked petals from flowers and learned about the parts of a flower.
We worked on the letters Gimel and C, practiced our pencil grip, and explored height and weight.
Thank you to all the parents who joined us for Back to School Night on October 7th!
We went over the daily schedule, the curriculum, and the goals for each class. Parents also wrote a note to their children and decorated the handle of their photo tree using glass beads.
We enjoyed yoga with Miss Ace, Taekwondo with Coach Anthony, and Animaly with Nadav.
We ended the week with a school-wide Shabbat party and challah baking.
Have a great week, and we look forward to seeing everyone next week! Shabbat Shalom!
