The Colors of the Rainbow

It has been a wonderful week learning all about Noach and the Ark (Teva). We learned about how Gd told Noach to build an Ark and gather two of every animal.

We used watercolors and shaving cream to create fluffy clouds and rain, just like the 49 days and nights of rain in the story. We counted the rain drops, and learned that "Cloud" begins with the letter C.

Our days were filled with joy as we played with animals, matched them to their habitats, learned their names and letters, and had a blast making animal sounds and dancing like them.

We love when Animaly comes and teaches us about a different animal each week. Today they brought us a baby chick and we loved holding it!

Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, and Purple. Those are the colors of the rainbow! We have really enjoyed exploring rainbows this week, the symbol that Gd will never make a flood again. We painted beautiful rainbows and mixed primary watercolors to create secondary colors for more rainbow fun.

We painted rainbows,

We did a science flower experiment.

We also baked delicious rainbow cookies!

Our Hebrew Letter of the week was Gimmel. We GREW gardens in honor of Gimmel.

We loved having Morah Robin come and teach us about the different sounds our different instruments make.

We enjoyed ending off our colorful week singing Shabbat songs and making challah together.

Wishing you all a Shabbat Shalom and praying for peace in our world. Shabbat Shalom!
