We have had an exciting week learning more about Rosh Hashana!
We know that Rosh Hashana is the birthday of the world and we had a birthday party to celebrate! We even enjoyed a sensory bin filled with a birthday party! It had moon sand, birthday candles, cupcake holders, and sprinkles!
We have been enjoying looking and learning about Guppy fish we now have in our classrooms. We know fish keep their eyes open all the time and are a sign of looking around ready to do extra mitzvot for Rosh Hashana.
We know pomegranates are a traditional food we eat representing all the 613 mitzvot in the Torah with the 613 seeds inside! We enjoyed pomegranate slime with seeds. We also did bubble art and created our own pomegranate paintings.
The letter of this week is Cc and we cut, peeled, and grated carrots, which is also a symbol of Rosh Hashana that means we want more blessings when we eat it.
Gimmel is our Hebrew letter of the week and we learned about Going Guy Gimmel going to give Tzedakah and do Mitzvot. We made our own Going Guy Gimmel with our handwriting without tears, sticks, and curves.
We had so much fun in Music, Yoga, and Playball this week!
We also enjoyed learning more about the artist Van Gogh with sunflower art fun!
We love ending our week with a school wide Shabbos Party and challah baking together! And we gifted our teachers chocolate covered apples and honey and bee hive candles in honor of Rosh Hashana. They are un-BEE-lieveable educators!
