What a wonderful Purim we had! Now, we’re jumping into Pesach learning! We talked about how the Jewish people were slaves in Egypt and how we are now free. Each year, we celebrate this by eating matzah and having Seder meals.

This week, we painted pyramids using blocks.

We mixed flour and water to make real matzah!

We also had fun playing with baby Moshe, floating in his basket on the Nile River.

We learned that Pesach is a time when we clean out all the chametz (bread and flour items) from our homes. To bring this to life, we made our soap foam to "clean" with and practiced our broom skills by sweeping up crumbs.

We also explored the six items on the Seder plate, counting and learning about each one.

The letter of the week was T, and we created tiger tails using play dough and pipe cleaners. Our Hebrew letter was candy cane Kuf, which is the beginning of the Hebrew word kemach (flour).

We enjoyed music with Morah Benny and yoga with Ms. Ace. And, as always, we loved ending our week with our Shabbat party and challah baking!
