Next Stop, Israel!

Yom Huledet Sameach Israel! We were so happy to celebrate Israel this week!

Thank you to all the parent volunteers who came in and made the day so special! We loved writing letters at the Kotel in Yerushalayim, mixing spices in the shuk in Tel Aviv, making orange juice in Haifa, cutting Israeli salad, and making salt watercolor art in Tzfat.

We know Israel was given to Avraham and the Jewish people thousands of years ago and is our Jewish homeland. This week, we enjoyed all things Israeli. We made real hummus to eat!  

We made pretend falafel and decorated a big Israeli flag.

We cut strips out of blue and white paper and created paper chains. We strung them all over to decorate with the Israeli flags, too!

We used blue and white beads to create jewelry and used clay to sculpt a pendant. We loved discovering treasures with our archaeological dig.

We made bird feeders for spring with seeds and sunflower butter.

Our letter this week was V, and we enjoyed making the volcanoes explode. Our Hebrew letter this week was sin, and we explored with gems and treasures.

We love ending our week with challah baking and Shabbat party!
