High Holiday Fun!

We've spent this week learning about the upcoming holidays of Yom Kippur and Sukkot.

We're currently in the special days between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, and there's still time to do extra Mitzvot and engage in Teshuva, which means saying we're sorry and correcting any mistakes we may have made.

In our activities, we used blocks and small parts to create small Sukkot.

We cut paper and made strips to create chains.

We used playdough with our citrus fruits while discussing the new fruit, the citron (Etrog), that we will shake for the upcoming holiday.

We painted with Schach, the branches that we put on the top of our Sukkot.

We also painted with citron (Etrog) fruit.

We even went "fishing" to learn about Tashlich, which is when we symbolically throw our wrongdoings into the water.

We've been busy with painting and gluing dried flowers to create a beautiful Sukkah project that we hope you'll enjoy.

We also got to bead and work on even more Sukkah decorations! We want to make our Sukkot SO beautiful!

We had so much fun playing in our Sukkah and shaking the Lulav and Etrog!

Even with all the holiday fun, we got to work on our self portraits!

We also worked on Alephabet Recognition!

This week, we also had a great time with Morah Robin doing music.

We wrapped up our week with Animaly. Animaly brought a chicken for Kapparot which is a customary atonement ritual that we do before Yom Kippur.

Of course, we always have a blast making challah and participating in our school-wide Shabbat Party.

Shabbat Shalom & Gmar Chatima Tova!
