Counting the days

It’s so nice to be back at school after such a wonderful Pesach break! This week, we began learning about the countdown to receiving the Torah at Mt. Sinai—our upcoming holiday of Shavuot. We talked about how we count the Omer and prepare ourselves by doing extra mitzvot during this special time.

We had so much fun matching dots and numbers with magnets.

We face painting our own faces and practicing our fine motor skills by lacing buttons onto pipe cleaners.

We also revisited our self-portraits and created new ones in the colorful, creative style of Eric Carle.

Our week was filled with delicious fun as we made yummy Rice Krispies treats.

We also reviewed the entire Alef Bet and explored the letter X, learning all about X-rays!

We enjoyed yoga with Ms. Ace and were excited to meet a new animal in Animaly. And of course, we always love making challah and celebrating a grand Shabbat party together.
