Farmer's Market Fun

Writer: AdminAdmin

Happy birthday to the trees! We had so much fun celebrating Tu B'shvat this week.

This week, we focused on trees, brachot, and all things nature. Each classroom planted a different vegetable to observe its growth.

We created fruit-themed art, practiced pouring grape juice, and used oranges for stamping as we learned the letter O.

For math practice, we counted seeds, and we used natural materials with playdough to create our own trees.

We also baked oatmeal bars for the bracha Mezonot and learned about the six brachot we recite when eating.

We had a Farmer's Market to celebrate Hashem’s blessings and express gratitude for our food! The children engaged in hands-on activities for each bracha: squashing grapes for the Hagafen bracha, making fairy bread for Hamotzi, creating vegetable insects for Ha’Adamah, making fruit skewers for Ha’Eitz, decorating cupcakes for Mezonot, and squeezing fresh juice for Shehakol. A huge thank you to all the parents who joined us and helped make this event such a wonderful success!

Our letters of the week were O and the Hebrew letter Nun. We used our noses to explore different food scents, and painted beautiful landscapes inspired by Monet.

We enjoyed an exciting week filled with music with Benny, Playball with Coach Anthony, baking challah, and celebrating our schoolwide Shabbos party!
