We have begun singing songs, reading the stories, and talking all about the miracles Hashem did for us on Chanukah.
We spoke all about the Beit Hamikdash. We know the holiest place in Israel is where the story of Chanukah takes place and we colored and painted our own Beit Hamikdosh..
We know the Beit Hamikdish had so many beautiful treasures and we counted all the gems in the Beit Hamikdash.
We know the oil burned in the Menorah longer than it should have and this was a huge miracle. We painted one with our fingers, played with setting up candles on our Menorah and creating a Menorah on the light table. We collaged a Menorah with papers we cut and building huge one on our rug.
We explored olives and squeezed to see if we could make oil just like the olive oil that stayed lit in the story of Chanukah.
We painted dreidels to hang around our classroom to get in the Chanukah Spirit!
We explored Menorahs with playdoh and popsicle sticks.
Coach Anthony came and did playball with us.
Animaly brought a hamster for us to see! We absolutely love hamsters and can't wait to see what animal they show us next!
