We explored learning about the upcoming holiday of Shavuot, which celebrates the best present we ever received—the Torah!
A special scribe makes the Torah on parchment paper with a feather and a quill, taking care with each letter. We tried our hand at quill Alef Bet too!
On Shavuot it is a custom to eat dairy foods. So we had fun milking a cow!
We enjoyed scooping playdough into ice cream cones!
We loved making art inspired by the Jewish artist El Lissitzky. We used many fun objects to dip in paint and create this wonderful art.
We read the story How Do Dinosaurs Eat Their Food? and practiced setting the table and feeding dinosaurs.
We reviewed our letters in English and investigated a coral reef.
We hope you have a wonderful summer and can't wait to welcome many of you back at Camp Gan Israel!
