We are so excited to jump right into learning all about our upcoming holiday, Pesach!
We have been singing songs, reading books, and learning all about Moshe and Pharaoh in Mitzrayim. We painted big pyramids just like the ones standing in Egypt today.
We used our fingers to make triangle shapes in sand, just like a pyramid.
We celebrate the fact that we are FREE every year by having a special meal called a Seder. We began designing our beautiful mosaic Seder plates. Each child will be making their own piece of art that will surely be a keepsake for years to come.
We enjoyed making our own play-doh Matzah.
We spoke about the numbers 1-12 on a clock, counted, and discussed where they belong, and we even practiced drawing our own clocks.
The artist we focused on this week was George Seurat, and we used different shades of purple to paint grapes using q-tip dots, just like he uses pointillism in his art.
We reviewed all the Hebrew letters and searched for them in rice.
The English letter for the week is Ww, and we used watercolor to paint like a waterfall!
We enjoyed Yoga with Ms. Ace.
We loved learning about our new snake friend with Animaly.
We always love ending our week with a challah bake and a grand school-wide Shabbat Party.
Shabbat Shalom!
