Celebrating a Sweet New Year

Shana Tova Umetuka! We are so excited to celebrate Rosh Hashana together!

This week, we baked honey cake, decorated honey jars, and finished our beautiful Rosh Hashana cards.
The children stamped a graph using corks to represent colorful apples, played with pomegranate playdough, and even conducted an experiment with pomegranate juice and seeds, making them “dance” with vinegar and baking soda!
We also pretended to be beekeepers, using our creativity and fine motor skills to wrap our very own pinecone bees.
For art inspiration, we turned to Vincent Van Gogh and recreated his famous Starry Night painting using chalk.
Our letter focus this week was Bb and the Hebrew letter Bet. The children used watercolors to reveal invisible ink Bets, and placed little bees on their Handwriting Without Tears sticks to form both the uppercase and lowercase letter Bb.
We wish you and your family a healthy, sweet, and wonderful new year!
