This week we were busy as bees learning about the upcoming holiday of Rosh Hashana. We dressed up in bee costumes and learned all about the life cycle of a bee.
We buzzed around singing songs and learning how the bees make us delicious honey we use for Rosh Hashana.
We have been decorating honey jars so you can enjoy them at your family’s Rosh Hashana meal. We know we want a sweet new year so we eat apples dipped in honey.
We love when Animaly comes and brings us real bees to see and learn about!
We had sensory bins with bee hives and explored so much!
We learned all about Shofars.
We know the Shofar comes from a ram and the sounds we blow are Tekiah, Shevarim, Teruah.
We read stories and spoke about how apples grow. We know the trees make blossoms and then we get an apple. We also know there is a special star inside. We sorted apples.
We printed with apples and painted with apples and rolled paint on paper apples.
We also had fun squishing play doh to roll them and shape them with our hands.
We had a wonderful grand Shabbat party all together and made challah for you to enjoy at home. We look forward to next week when we will continue getting ready for Rosh Hashana together.
Shabbat Shalom
