6 Days of Creation

We’ve had a creative week learning all about Creation!

We learned all about Hashem making the world in 6 days and resting on the 7th, Shabbat. We know on the first day there was light and dark. Hashem made day and night. We beaded black and white beads, used flashlights in a black box to create light from darkness, and we investigated shadows!

We made black and white cookies from scratch, too!

We were little photographers and we pretended to hang photos we took and “developed”.

We are working on a group Creation board where we painted, glued, and enjoyed all things Hashem created. We know on Day 3, Hashem created the flowers, grass, and trees, and we investigated all things in nature.

Our letter for this week was C and the Hebrew letter Gimmel. We used cars with Gimmels on them and watched the Gimmel Go! For the letter C, we used trays to trace our fingers in colored corn.

We enjoyed Yoga with Ms. Ace and Playball with Coach Anthony this week!

Ending our week with Shabbat Party and Challah baking is a great way to go into our weekend!

Thank you to all the parents who joined us for Back to School Night at BJP! We had a wonderful evening creating photo projects for our children, exploring our curriculum, and connecting with one another.
