Hashem Gave Us A Present, Do You Know What It Was?

We have been having fun preparing for the upcoming holiday of Shavuot and have been working on creating our very own mini Torah worlds.

We are counting down the days until Shavuot! We used loose parts to count to 49, just like there are 49 days in the Omer, from Pesach until Shavuot, when we receive the Torah!

We learned about mountains. We know that Har Sinai was not very big, as some mountains are, and Hashem wanted to teach us that it’s not what you see externally, but it’s what’s inside that counts. Har Sinai was a simple mountain, but Hashem chose to give the Torah on it!

We used clay to create Har Sinai and we decorated it with flowers because we know the Torah was given in a desert, but Hashem made a miracle and flowers grew all around Har Sinai in the desert.

We learned about the 10 commandments and know Hashem gave us them written on the Luchot, the Tablets. We made our own Luchot to put on our mini Har Sinai mountains and wrote aleph bet on them.

We learned that a Torah needs to be written by a Sofer on parchment paper and we practiced writing Hebrew letters like a Sofer does to create the Torah. We used feather quills and ink to create Alef bet.

We had music with Morah Robin this week again, it was fantastic!

We are putting together our Planet mobiles and remembering all the different facts we learned. We know which planets are cold and which are hot. We continued painting stars and know that each one of us is a STAR and that Hashem promised Avraham that his descendants would be as many as stars in the sky.

We enjoyed Shabbat circle outside together, Shabbat party inside and Challah too!

Shabbat Shalom!
