It’s been a short but fun week here in BJP. We continued to learn about Yom Kippur and Sukkot.
We focused on the story of Yona. We know Yona was a Tzaddik, a holy man that Hashem asked to do an important job. Yona said NO and tried to hide from Hashem. Yona was swallowed by a whale and begged Hashem for forgiveness. Hashem forgave him and then Yona did what Hashem asked of him. We read this story every year on Yom Kippur and we learn from this story that its never too late to say sorry. Hashem, our loving father understands that we are not prefect and he is always willing to forgive us.
We love celebrating Shabbat! Lighting the candles, drinking grape juice and eating challah is our favorite Friday tradition.
In honor Simchat Torah Rabbi came with the Torah for us to do Hakafot (dancing around the Torah for the upcoming holiday).
We celebrated two very special birthdays with our friends Alexander and Menucha.
